Do you think you could figure this out without a Shop
Manual or Wiring Diagrams??
When Lancia left the US in the 1980's, we were given exclusive
permission to continue to reproduce and provide Lancia Shop Manuals,
Wiring Diagrams and other Technical Literature necessary for
the proper service and operation of the Lancia Beta series of cars.
Below you will find the widest selection
available of accurate information for
your car... now those mysteries can be solved!
LANCIA ORIGINAL FACTORY SHOP MANUALS
The following Factory Service Manuals,
Technical Data Manuals, Wiring Diagrams, etc. are "the real thing" as provided

were being sold as new. Our manuals have comprehensive repair instructions,
hundreds of pictures and illustrations and complete repair procedures for each
model.
NOTE:
Lancia issued "supplements" to the Factory Shop Manual as the models
changed over the years. If you own a 1979 model car, be certain to
order #43 along with the Workshop Manual or if you own a 1981 or
1982 Beta be certain to order #44 along with the Workshop Manual.
Everyone should have the Beta Technical Data #46.

ATTENTION 1979 MODEL YEAR
OWNERS:
PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT
CAMPAIGN #178
- In August 1981 Lancia had received enough reports from owners of 1979
carbureted cars that a recall was issued. The problem occurred after a
drive with the engine hot and the vehicle parked a short time. Upon trying to restart the engine, extreme
hesitation occurred as fuel vaporization was encountered and in a worst case scenario an engine fire
was experienced. Lancia issued this recall to add additional ventilation
to the carburetor along with an upgraded Bosch alternator. If you own a
1979 Lancia please check to see if this recall update is on
your car. This is 18 pages of the parts, installation and procedures to
make certain this very important modification was done to your car. LIT 178

INSTRUCTIONS
FOR INSTALLING THE LEGENDARY STARTER RELAY
- The Beta Coupe, HPE, Sedan and Zagato were (and still are) well known
for starter problems. Slow starter speed, solenoid clicking and
non-start are common Beta problems. In the 1980's we looked into this
and found the wiring for the starter ran back and forth through the
engine compartment, through multiple connectors, through the ignition
switch back to the engine compartment so by the time the wiring reached the starter it had forgotten it
ever had voltage in it to begin with. With this relay installed, your
ignition switch will only be used to trigger the relay, it will no
longer have to carry the starting current. This provides a shorter path
from the battery to the starter, which provides more juice to the
starter.
We devised a fix that used an Italian made, Fiat sourced, SIPEA brand
relay that along with our hand drawn instructions allowed you to fix the
problem. That relay is no longer available so we now provide a Bosch
style relay with harness. Cure your starting problems forever!

PRE-DELIVERY
INSPECTION TECHNICIAN'S WORKBOOK - Another great manual written by Fiat North America when the cars were
still sold "new". Prior to delivery to the new owner, each car was supposed to go thru an exhaustive procedure of checks and
adjustments. So many that this manual has 36 pages and a separate pre-delivery
check list with sections for lower
chassis, engine compartment, interior, upper chassis, body, electrical, road
test and final inspection. Each section is fully illustrated with diagrams
showing the procedures and the items to check.
Interested in what was supposed to happen at
the dealership? Or how about using this as a mini maintenance manual for
your car? Spend an afternoon going over all these procedures and your Beta will be a much better car for it!
OWN A PIECE OF HISTORY! -
After FIAT ceased selling cars in the US
in 1982 they stayed several years to provide replacement parts here in the
US. In 1990 they sold off the parts business to Import Parts America (IPA)
out of Fremont, CA and left the US behind.
IPA made a nice attempt at doing some
marketing and one of the things they did was to provide a "community"
newsletter. In exchange for your address, year and model of car they would
send you a quarterly newsletter. This newsletter was a great idea, but
after three issues or so it folded.
What we have here is the original, initial
Volume 1, Issue 1 FIAT BRAVO NEWSLETTER from the Fall of 1990. This is NOT a copy or
reprint but the actual newsletter itself printed almost 20 years ago.
This is an incredible look at the FIAT scene
two decades ago and has articles on FIAT's history since 1899, "Affordable
Classic Cars", maintaining your convertible top, adjusting headlamps.
paint maintenance, a great technical Q & A, and pictures & descriptions of
various owner's cars: Scorpions, 124's, 850's and more.
This is the original, oversized 8 page
Newsletter Volume 1, Issue 1, dated Fall of 1990. Quantities are limited
so order it now.
OWN A PIECE OF HISTORY! (part 2) -
Even after Fiat and Lancia stopped
selling cars in 1982, they continued selling parts here in the US and
Canada. Every couple of months they
issued "Dealer Price Lists" to the former dealers and now coming on line
"Parts Distributors". As parts would come and go, naturally the size of
the book would change but most issues are about 120 pages and list each
and every part with factory part number, a description, dealer price and
retail price. These
books were not supposed to fall into the consumer's hands; the wealth
of information contained within is tremendous!.
These are ORIGINAL FIAT/LANCIA price books, not
copies or reprints so quantities are of course limited.
OWN A PIECE OF HISTORY! (part 3) -

advertisement from 1979, pretty neat. Click below to download a full sized
